Beverly Owens

Beverly Owens’ photographic twists within her very unique encaustic method becomes a container of visual memories as does the dazzling shimmer of her metal photography in her new show Mirage. Owens taps into the source of our pleasure, gratification, and sensory satisfaction which we pursue in the vintage, the classic or timeless imagery of our pasts. Owens creates real, substantial reference points as exemplified in a day at the beach or a hockey game yet at that very same moment or glance.
